I told my son that whenever he looked or touched at his bracelet at school, he could remember that mommy and daddy (and sister) were thinking about him and that he was close to our hearts and we were in his heart too. The first day he wore the bracelet to school, he didn't cry at all for the first time. He told us afterward that every time he felt sad or scared, he looked at his bracelet and remembered that we loved him and he didn't feel sad anymore. Since then, he has been wearing his bracelet to school everyday and he hasn't once cried, which is a HUGE victory for our family. I hope that this could potentially help your family if you have a child that struggles with separation anxiety as well.
